Solomon Sacco

Graduated in law from the University of Zimbabwe in 2000. Registered as a legal practitioner in Zimbabwe in 2000 and worked in private practice until 2002. He joined Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and then the Faculty of Law at the University of Zimbabwe, where he lectured in Human Rights Law. In 2004 he graduated from the University of Pretoria with an LLM (Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa). He returned to lecture at the University of Zimbabwe before joining the Human Rights Trust of Southern Africa (SAHRIT), a sub-regional human rights training and capacity development institution, in October 2005, where he was involved in training, research and litigation before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. He joined INTERIGHTS in July 2008. Particular interests are economic, social and cultural rights and equality. Email Solomon at ssacco@interights.org.
