Barrister, Monckton Chambers, practicing primarily before the European Court of Human Rights and the United Nations Human Rights Committee. Human rights law for the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Co-operation and Security in Europe, the Office of the High Commission for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Programme. His work focuses particularly on issues concerned with extradition, freedom of assembly and association, freedom of movement and the right to a fair trial, to liberty and security and to property.Chair of the Scientific Committee of the European Union's Agency for Fundamental Rights and teaches on human rights Masters' programmes at Central European and Oxford Universities. He is the Editor of Butterworths Human Rights Cases and Consultant Editor of Commonwealth Human Rights Law Digest. He was the co-founder of INTERIGHTS.
